Bill is a 1954 graduate of Middlefield High school and Michigan State University where he majored in

Bill held several different jobs, retiring with 35 years from Copperweld Steel where he worked on the maintenance crew as an electrician. Bill had many passions. He was an avid football player and lifelong fan. His fondest football memory was beating archrival Burton in the tournaments his senior year. He enjoyed racing at Thompson Dragstrip. Bill loved to hunt deer and elk. He liked to travel visiting all fifty states, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. Bill could always be found helping troubleshoot/repair a piece of equipment, big or small, tractor, mower, or car; he thoroughly enjoyed the challenge of finding the problem. Bill earned several nicknames throughout his life. The three that stand out are Wild Bill, MacGyver and most recently, the Cider Delivery Fairy. Bill fought a courageous four-year long battle with PSP (progressive supranuclear palsy) never once complaining.
