Wanda Jean Sly

Wanda Jean Sly, age 66, of Middlefield, passed away Saturday, April 24, 2021 at Andover Village Skilled Nursing Home. She was born on June 24, 1954 in Chardon, daughter of the late Jesse and Oris (Welchman) Sly. Wanda worked at Johnson Rubber and at the Middlefield U.S. Post Office as a sales service associate clerk for 37 years and was well known and appreciated by the customers who went there.

She loved playing pool, was a member of American Pool players Association and entering pool table tournaments.  Her other hobbies were bowling, softball, selling sports lawn ornaments at the Mespo Ox Roast, and going to the Casinos. She will be missed by her family and friends.

Wanda is survived by her sister Linda (Keith) Williams, two brothers, Jesse “Butch” (Judy) Sly, and Brian (Diana) Sly, and many loving cousins, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother David.

A Gathering of family and friends will be held from 4:00-8:00 PM Friday, April 30, 2021 at Sly Family Funeral Home, 15670 West High St., Middlefield, OH 44062.
