Voreice Wilkins Obituary
Voreice Wilkins, 97, of Orwell passed away Monday December 23, 2019 at Eagle Pointe Skilled Nursing Home. She was born August 15, 1922 in New Albany, Mississippi to the late Reub and Mary (Harden) Nesbet. Along with her husband K C Wilkins, she was owner of Wilkins Grocery Store in Windsor. Voreice was a former member of Faith Temple Worship Center and a member of First Missionary Baptist Church in Mesopotamia. In addition to her faith, she enjoyed walking, flower gardening, and loved her late dog and companion, Chuckie.
She will be sadly missed by her stepdaughter, Maxine Johnson, 4 grandchildren, Annette Shearer, Stephanie Campbell, Jay Campbell, Crystal Lackey, 5 great grandchildren, many great great grandchildren. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, K. C. Wilkins, daughter, Margaret Hawkins, foster-son, Donald Carl Wilkins, siblings, Willie Curtis Johnson, Bessie Johnson, Mattie Mae Johnson, Bernice Nesbet, Johnny Johnson, and a grandson, Gregory Hawkins
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday January 4, 2020 at First Missionary Baptist Church, 8664 Brigden Road Mesopotamia, OH 44439. She will be laid to rest beside her husband in Windsor Cemetery.
