Viola Mae (Hickman) Trenton

Our family lost our matriarch, Viola Mae Trenton, on May 31, 2023, surrounded by loved ones. She was 85 years old.

Viola was born in West Virginia on November 13th to parents Clara & Arthur (both deceased) and has two sisters, Judy (Nick) & Linda.

Viola was blessed to have two loves of her life in Glenn Trenton and Bob White (both deceased). She and Glenn built a wonderful family home in Hambden where she resided for almost 60 years and raised many children, grandchildren and now great-grandchildren. Her true passion in life was her family. Viola sadly lost her oldest daughter Bonnie, but is survived by children Keith (Laura) Warner , Becky (Jack) Warren, Buster (Lisa) Trenton, Scott (Kim) Trenton. Her grandchildren Joe (Maria), Steve (Heather), Danny (Janet), Amanda, Sara (Dan), Chris (Jo), John, Kaitlyn (Jeremy), Doris (John), Macie (Jeremy), Seth. Viola was blessed to have great-grandchildren Tyler, Loreali, Dakota, Cheyenne, Skyler, Jalen, Chase,Trentin, Bryson, Koltyn, Konnor, Dexter, Xavier, Karson, Kannon, Emerson, Arianna, Jameson, John IV, Adysuhn and Glenn. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.

Viola loved to go Roller Skating at the Austinburg Rink with her children. She enjoyed watching the birds from her window in the kitchen and had a few pets as well. Viola retired from Great Lakes Cheese after a long employment. She was a generous and kind soul who would provide a place to stay for anyone who needed it and food if you were hungry. She helped many in her journey of life and will be remembered fondly. Her favorite saying was “Go pick your switch”, as the years went on that became more of a fable than reality. 

A  Private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
