Viola Clay, 76, of Middlefield, Ohio, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, January 23, 2025.
She was born on December 29, 1948, to Boyd Clay and Elizabeth Adkins in Wayne, West Virginia. Viola graduated from Wayne High School and later built a career as a quality control inspector at Euclid Spring Company in Wickliffe, Ohio.
Twelve years ago, Viola became a cherished resident of Middlefield. She found great joy in crafting, quilting, reading, and, most importantly, spending quality time with her family.
Viola is survived by her son, Larry Clay; her two beloved grandsons, Zachary Clay and Christopher Clay; her brother, Dwayne Clay; her sisters, Tywana (Domenic) Beradinelli, Pamela Sue Copley, and Deborah Clay, as well as many nieces, nephews, and countless family members who affectionately knew her as Aunt Vi.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother-in-law, William Copley.
Calling hour will be held from 11:00 AM until her Funeral Service at 12:30 PM Saturday February 1, 2025 at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home, 10030 Route 152, Wayne, WV. 25570. She will be laid to rest in Jones Cemetery, following the services.
Sly Family Funeral Home Middlefield, Ohio assisted the family with local arrangements and the Johnson Tiller Funeral Home in Wayne, WV assisted the family with the service.
