Vernon Moses

Vernon Moses, 72, of Middlefield Ohio, formerly of Mentor, Ohio passed away at UH Ahuja Medical Center on Tuesday, October 24, 2023. Vernon was born May 18, 1951, to the late John and Ola Dessie Moses in Jellico, Tn. He worked doing maintenance for the Mentor Parks and Recreational department. When his children were younger, he coached baseball and was an avid Cleveland sports fan. He liked going to auctions and also woodworking. He had a passion for horses and was the previous owner of racehorses.

Vernon will be greatly missed by his wife Peggy, and his children, Lisa Keglovich, Ann Boggs, Lori(Jerry) Hayes, Mickey(Erin) Moses, grandchildren, Matthew, Rachel(Shea), Cody (Ashley), Skyler(Amanda), Chandler (Jessica),Michael(Patty), Aaron(Kallie), Madison, AJ, Michael, McKenzie, Camden, and great grandchildren, Landon, McKinley, Dakota, Kira, Hayden, Eisen, Lucas, Liam, Scout, Hudson, Branson, and siblings Odas (Helen), and Kelsie(Theresa) Moses. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Otha Moses and Elvada Johnson.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, October 28, 2023, from 12:00-3:00 PM, at Sly Family Funeral Home. 15670 W. High Street, Middlefield, Ohio, with the service immediately following at 3:00 PM. with Pastor Randy Kaser officiating.
