Valeria G. (Skiba) Rasch

Valeria G. (nee Skiba) Rasch 84 of Newbury passed away at her home Friday February 14, 2025.  She was born March 10, 1940, in Cleveland to the late Valentine and Magdalen (Kopil) Skiba.  Valeria was a lifelong resident of Newbury and a active member of the Grace Evangelical Bible Church.  She enjoyed cooking, drawing, sewing and reading. Her love of animals come from raising German Shepherds with her husband.  Valeria worked for the Richmond Brothers until she met the love of her life, Jerome Rasch whom she married. 

She will be sadly missed by her sisters, Gloria Seneff, Camelia Bittel, Mary Gurcze, daughter-in-law Angela Rasch, granddaughter, Amber (Gabriel) Fiorille, and great granddaughter, Kinsley Fiorille. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Jerome, sons, Mark A. Rasch, John Eric Rasch, brother Joseph Skiba, granddaughter, Autumn Rasch, and a great grandson Aiden Fiorille.  

Calling hours will be held Thursday, February 20, 2025, from 5:00-8:00 PM at the Sly Family Funeral Home, 15670 W. High Street, Middlefield, Ohio 44062.  Her Funeral Service will be held 12:00 PM Friday, February 21, 2025 at Grace Evangelical Bible Church, 14951 Auburn Road, Newbury, Ohio 44065 with Pastor Bob Majetich officiating.  Burial will follow the service in Newbury Center Cemetery.
