Timothy Louis Black, 54, of Bristolville, formerly of N. Bloomfield, passed away Saturday, October 23, 2021 at Hospice of the Valley Hospice House. He was born May 13, 1967 in Cleveland to the late Louis and Rosalie (Ditmarsen) Black. Tim graduated from Bloomfield High School in 1985 and married his high school sweetheart, Mellody Covey, on May 24, 1986. He was co-owner of Elite Digital Graphics for 15 years. He was a member of Cortland Trinity Baptist Church, serving in many positions within the church. Tim loved the Lord and would share his faith with anyone who would listen. His family was his life; a devoted Husband, Father, and Grandfather, enjoying family dinners every Sunday. Tim was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers and Golden State Warriors fan. He never met a stranger, was always joking around, making others laugh, and making everyone feel like family.
He will be sadly missed by his loving wife Mellody, children, Megan (Johnathan) Walker of Warrensville, Hts., Joshua (Beckie Peelman) Black of Girard, Aaron (Randi Beatty) Hopson of Cortland, his siblings, Colleen (Glenn) Fowler of Old Fort, TN, Marlene (Dave) Moss of Broadview Hts., Dennis (Janine) Black of Wadsworth, Renee (Dave) Taylor of Belfair, WA., John (Juanita) Black of Garfield Hts., 5 grandchildren, Alaina, Kaylynn, Ava, Joshua, Liam and one on the way, Ari. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers: Steven and Shawn Black.
A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held Wednesday, October 27, 2021, at Cortland Trinity Baptist Church, 2576 McCleary Jacoby Rd, Cortland, OH 44410, from 1:00 PM until the time of His Celebration of Life which will be held at 2:00 PM.
