Shirley M. Williams, 85 of Champion, formerly of West Farmington, passed away Thursday July 15, 2021, at her home. She was born April 9, 1936, in Worthington, WV, to the late Herbert and Edna (Rizer) Garrett. Shirley worked many years as a clerk for Bland’s Market in W. Farmington, Grand River Transportation in North Bloomfield, and as a Poll worker. She enjoyed getting together with family and friends to play cards, going out to eat, watching TV, and was a former member of West Farmington United Methodist Church.
She will be sadly missed by her daughter, Debbie (Ed) Gillin of Champion, grandchildren, Amanda McCauley of North Versailles, Pa, Joshua (Bonnie) Gillin of West Farmington, 2 great grandchildren, Kayden, and Rylan, also by her sister, Kathleen Fedio, of Worthington, WV, brother, Jim (Betty) Garrett of Four States, WV., sister-in-laws, Rose Garrett of Worthington, WV, and Betty Garrett of Canton, OH. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Jim whom she married January 31, 1953, brothers Charles, Bobby, and Richard Garrett, and a sister, Virginia Quinn.
Calling hours will be held Sunday, July 18, 2021 from 4:00-6:00 PM and also Monday, July 19, 2021 from 10:00 AM until the time of service, 11:00 AM at the Sly Family Funeral Home, 15670 W. High St. Middlefield, OH. 44062.
