Sharon Dunn, 59 of Burton, went home to be with the Lord on July 16, 2020, peacefully at home with her loving family by her side.
Sharon was born November 14, 1960 in Warrensville Heights, Ohio, the daughter of Herbert and Daphne (Brown) Kleve. A 1979 graduate of Berkshire High School, where she was known for her musical talent. She obtained her bachelor’s degree from Thiel College, then met and married the love of her life, Stephen on May 25, 1986.
A longtime member of the New Testament Baptist Church of Claridon, she was delighted to be the flutist on the worship team and assisted in running project SHARE, which helps the local community and church. Her legacy of dedication and servitude to the Lord will live on in her children.
As a lifelong avid reader, she embraced learning a variety of interests and thoroughly enjoyed sharing her wealth of knowledge. Sharon was known for her excellent baking and cooking skills, thankfully passing her expertise onto her daughter. Amongst her multitude of abilities, she had the keen sense to identify any local species of birds and flowers since admiring them was one of her favorite pastimes. Sharon had quite the green thumb, and was very proud of her vegetable and flower gardens. However, her ultimate pride and joy was being a mother to her four children and grandmother to her little Josie.
She will be sadly missed by her mother Daphne Kleve, children Nathanael (Lindsay) Dunn, Michael (Lucy) Dunn, Annaliese (Robert) Frailey, Aaron Dunn, brothers Jeffery Kleve, David (Donna) Kleve, granddaughter Josephine, and many family and friends. She was preceded in death by her father Herbert and her husband Stephen.
A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held Friday, July 24, 2020 at New Testament Baptist Church, 12199 Claridon Troy Rd, Chardon, (Claridon) OH 44024, from 2:00 – 4:00 pm followed by a Celebration of Her Life at 4:00 PM.
She will be laid to rest in Slitor Cemetery, Burton, Ohio.
