Obituary


Sarah M (Miller) Hostetler 85 of Mesopotamia passed away Saturday April 22, 2023 at UH Portage Medical Center.  She was born September 9, 1937 in Middlefield to the late Sam C. Miller and Elizabeth E. Miller.  She was a member of the old Order Amish Church. Sarah was a manager at Mary Yoder’s Restaurant for many years. 

She will be missed by her children, Martha (Homer) Yoder, Lester E. (Barbara Ann) Hostetler Jr., Samuel L (Martha) Hostetler, Eli L (Nancy) Hostetler, Amos L (Kathryn) Hostetler, sister Elizabeth Weaver 43 grandchildren, 100 great grandchildren and 1 great great granddaughter. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Lester E. Hostetler, a daughter, Kathryn Hostetler, 7 brothers, 5 sisters, 2 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren. 

Calling hours will be held until the day of the funeral service Tuesday April 25, 9:00 AM at 7595 State Route 534 Mesopotamia Ohio with the Bishop Christ D. Miller officiating burial will follow at Clark Road cemetery, Mesopotamia.
