Sandra "Sandy" (Reed) Reed Sellers

Sandra “Sandy” L. Reed Sellers, age 76, of Burton Ohio passed away peacefully on Monday, September 2, 2024 with her daughter by her side. Born October 19, 1947, in Chardon, Ohio, daughter to Robert M. Reed Jr. and Dona (Thorp) Rigg.

Sandy graduated from Cardinal High School in 1965 and went on to spend the majority of her professional career in the deli and meat department at White Bothers in Middlefield, Ohio. She then proceeded to work many years in the seafood department at Giant Eagle in Bainbridge, Ohio, where she gracefully retired from in 2013. Sandy was a passionate woman who embraced life with a joyful heart and adventurous soul. She was known for always lending a helping hand to anyone that may be in need of it regardless of the circumstances. In addition to being a very active member of her church, Lighthouse United Methodist Church of East Claridon, she enjoyed traveling, camping, cooking, going to yard sales, reading, and mostly just spending quality time with her friends and family. She was a very proud cat lady at heart. 

Sandy will be greatly missed by her daughter Sonya (Dale) Johnson, her grandchildren Kylie (Nick Ramsey) Johnson, Zachary Johnson and her siblings, Tammy Reed, with whom she made her home with , John (Janet) Reed, Tim (Denise) Reed, Bill (Karen) Blue, Bobbie (Tim) Broom, and Christine (Frank) Phillips. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her late husbands, Richard Featsent Allen and Dennis Sellers, and brothers Skip and Rink Rigg. 
 
Calling hours will be held Saturday, September 7, 2024, at Lighthouse United Methodist Church, 14780 Mayfield Rd, East Claridon, OH 44033, from 11:00-1:00 PM with a service following at 1:00 P.M. officiated by Pastor Karen Cico. 

The family asks in lieu of flowers, you graciously make any donations to Lighthouse United Methodist Church in East Claridon or to a local animal rescue in Sandy’s name.
