Ronald S. King, 71, of Burton, traded in his Marine hat for a pair of angel wings on Monday, March 30, 2020. He was born August 24, 1948, to Ernest and Helen (Szabo) King in Cleveland, Ohio. He was a brilliant man who earned a bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Photography and went on to work for several private medical companies. He was a true artist as well. He not only assisted on the design of the logo for Apple Computers, he also painted several replica paintings that are on display at the Smithsonian Art Museum in Washington, DC. He spoke fluent French, had an excellent singing voice, and was known for his typical “big brother” antics with his siblings. Ron lived a full life and compacted a lot of living in 71 years.
Ron is survived by his sons Ron (Kelly) King, Jr., Matthew (Shelly) King, daughter Jennifer (Eric) Leivestad, brothers Donald (Cheryl) King, Richard (Virginia) King, Chuck King, sisters Julie (Mitch) Dulka, Sandy Hunter, Judy Amato, 13 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Ernie King.
Per the families wishes, there will be no calling hours or funeral. There will be a private burial at a later date.
