Roland “Tom” Moses, 84 of Burton peacefully passed away Saturday August 6, 2022, at UH Geauga Hospital. He was born December 15, 1937, to the late Orville and Rachael Moses in Williamsburg KY. In 1954 he moved to Cleveland and in 1959 he married his wife of 63 years, Dorothy J. (Schroyer). In 1963 he became a member of the Masonic Lodge where he remained until death, and a member of the Church of God in Cleveland. His interest were coaching little league baseball ,where one year he proudly had a perfect season. He enjoyed watching Cleveland Sports, the Indians and Browns. Tom worked for Hupp Corp, National ACME, Tow Motor, and as an Amish taxi driver, He was a truck driver with his beloved wife for FedEx for 21 years traveling the whole United States and into Canada.
He will be sadly missed by his wife, children, Belinda Sue (Ken) Fagan of Newbury, Ken (Lisa) Moses of Burton, grandchildren, Tommy, Tyler (Hannah) Courtney, Shawn, Katie (Amanda), and a great granddaughter, Marissa. He will be missed by his sister, Cora Sue Rose, brother, Damon (Linda) Moses, both of Williamsburg, KY, a sister-in-law, Jackie Moses of East Lake, and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, Jack Moses, Bob Moses, and a sister Verna Dean Lambden.
Calling hours will be held from 5:00 – 8:00 PM Tuesday, August 9, 2022, and Wednesday August 10, 2022 at the Sly Family Funeral Home, 15670 W. High Street, Middlefield, Ohio 44062 from 12:00 PM until his Funeral Service at 1:00 PM. Burial will be in Western Reserve Memorial Garden, Chesterland, Ohio following the service.
