Roger William Skolaris

Roger William Skolaris 78 of Middlefield passed away Saturday September 7, 2024, at UH Geauga Medical Center.  He was born November 27, 1945, in Cleveland to the late Frank and Ruth (Ratdke) Skolaris.  He was manager for Rhoda Nursery in Huntsburg for over 20 years, and maintenance forman for Superior/Jamestown Container Corp. in Warrensville and Twinsburg where he retired.  Roger was a member of St. Lucy’s Catholic Church. He enjoyed classic cars and camping with his family. 

He will be sadly missed by his loving wife, Linda (Koynock) Skolaris who he married Augus 2, 1969, his children, Kieth Skolaris, and Michelle (Marin) Simicevic.  Grandchildren, Sammatha and Evan.  His two brothers, Fred Skolaris, Frank (Wendy) Skolaris, brothers-in-laws, Drew (Nancy) Koynock, Larry Koynock, David (Rene) Koynock, and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Marlene Campbell, and niece, Kimberly Campbell.    

Calling hours will be held Thursday September 12, 2024, from 4:00 – 8:00 PM at the Sly family Funeral Home, 15670 W. High St. Middlefield, OH. 44062.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 AM Friday September 13, 2024 at St. Lucy’s Catholic Church, 16280 E High St, Middlefield, OH 44062 with Father Jacob Bearer officiating. Burial will follow Mass at Middlefield Cemetery.
