Robert L. Gross “Bob” 90 of Burton formerly of Troy Township, passed away Tuesday July 5, 2022, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born June 24, 1932, in Cleveland to the late Louis and Angela (Maresh) Gross. He was the youngest of 7 children. Bob served in the US Army as a Sergeant in the Korean War. He worked for CEI as a Lineman for 38 years retiring in 1993. He was member of the Morning Star Church in Chardon, and the G.R.C, Geauga Radio Controlaires. Bob enjoyed making and flying radio control aircraft, spending time with his family.
He will be sadly missed by his wife, Elaine (Hunter) Gross whom he was married to for 21 years, his children, Julie (Jim) Loncar, Jacqueline (Mike) O’Brien, Jill (Scott) Ronyak, Jane (Scott) Morden, Robert L. (Theresa) Gross II “Rob”, stepchildren, Mark Cormiea, Lynn (Robert) Lax, Scott (Sharon) Cormiea, and Holly Cormiea. He had 30 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren with one on the way. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his 6 siblings, Eleanore Veith Endsley of Cleveland, Mildred Fawcett of Euclid, Helen Prerost of Bainbridge Twp., Gilbert G. (Helen) of Mantua, Bernice Ackerman of Auburn, Angela (Richard) Vlk of Bainbridge Twp.
Cremation has taken place and no formal services will take place.
