Richard Charles Sisler, 77, of Niles, passed away on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at Woodland Health and Rehab Center in Ravenna. He was born on July 17, 1948, in Warren, Ohio, to the late Edgar James and Eleanor (Moyes) Sisler.
Rich graduated from Champion High School and proudly served his country in the United States Army. Afterward, he attended Kent State University and went on to work as a welder for General Motors for 40 years. His love of cars grew naturally from his time at GM, and he carried that passion throughout his life.
Rich enjoyed the simple pleasures that brought him joy—listening to music from the 1970s and 1980s, watching and playing sports, golfing, and spending evenings playing cards and board games. He had a deep love for animals and shared a strong Christian Baptist upbringing with his family. Above all, he cherished time spent with his loved ones.
He will be deeply missed by his daughters, Rachel (Benito) Chagala of Tennessee and Sarah Sisler of Ravenna; his grandchildren, Rick Sisler, Justine Barbe, Anthony Sisler, Timothy Sisler, Brianna Cordeiro, Nicholas Cordeiro, and Angelina Cottrill; as well as his 10 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Rich was preceded in death by his wife, Eva Macklin Sisler, his grandson, Jeffery Barbe Jr., and brother, Robert Sisler.
Private graveside services will be held at a later date at Champion Township Cemetery.
