Raymond Blair, 98, of West Farmington passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, November 11, 2024.
Raymond was born on December 5, 1925, to the late Roswell and Cora (Wicks) Blair in Parkman Ohio. He married the love of his life, Ida Mae (Moats) in November 22, 1950, and together they raised 8 children. He worked for the City of Akron Watershed in the Maintenance Department and enjoyed fishing, playing horseshoes, watching old westerns and was a big WWE fan.
Raymond will be greatly missed by his family, his children Raymond Jr. (Sandy), Gary (Connie), Jack (Debbie), Linda Bogel, Ann (Nick) Mlinar, Sue Blair, brothers David, Jerry, sisters, Evelyn, Dorothy Young, 23 Grandchildren, many Great Grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Ida Mae, sons Allen and Tom Blair, and brothers Dale, Robert, Vernon, Donald, and Roger Blair.
The family would like to give a special Thank you to his caregivers, Dorothy, Erica, Libby, Connie V, Mary Ann, and Laura.
Calling hours will be held from 10:00 AM until his Funeral Service 12:00 PM Saturday November 16, 2024 at the Sly Family Funeral Home, 15670 W. High Street, Middlefield, Ohio 44062. He will be laid to rest at Overlook Cemetery
