Patricia Rulong

Patricia Rulong, 74, of Middlefield, passed away peacefully on September 30, 2025.

She was born on December 14, 1950, to Frank and Alverta (Dryer) Varat in Middlefield, Ohio. Patricia attended Cardinal High School and went on to work various jobs throughout her life, including a position at Geauga Cleaners.

Patricia had a deep love for her family, especially her husband Richard and their children, Frank and Keli. She enjoyed crafts, shopping, and one of her favorite pastimes was taking rides in her husband's sports car—especially in the fall, when she could admire the beautiful colors of the season.

And oh, how she loved her grandkids!

She will be greatly missed by her children, Frank (Angela) and Keli (Jon Swontek); her grandchildren, Alexander, Allyson, Austin, Ava, Syrus, Jordan, Kayla, and Lillian; and her great-grandchildren, Xavier, Maverick, and Major, as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved husband, Richard, and her sister Pamela Moody.

Per Patricia’s wishes, a private graveside service was held, and she was laid to rest in Middlefield Cemetery.
