Patricia Jean Paxton 79 of Garrettsville passed away Tuesday January 16, 2024, at Burton Health Care Center. She was born January 23, 1944, in Garrettsville to the late Marshal N., and Mary R. (Bezek) Mattews. She graduated from Middlefield High School. Patricia worked for Briar Hill Nursing Home as an aid and in the laundry. She was a member of the Garrettsville Eagles. She was an avid Cleveland Browns Fan: enjoyed gardening, crafts, traveling, and spending time with her loving family.
She will be sadly missed by her daughter, Kelly (John) Ober of Streetsboro, grandchildren, Michael Lougen of Ravenna, Johnny (Sarah) Ober of Hiram, Jermey Ober of Hiram, and 4 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Dorothy (Bill) Fox of Burton, and her brother, Chuck (Debbie) Mattews of Parkman. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, William Paxton, and grandson James “Jimmy” Lougen.
A Celebration of Her Life will be held at a later date.
