Michael Minick Obituary

Michael Lee Minick 76 of Middlefield passed away peacefully on December 31st, 2024, in Mentor. Born on April 15, 1948, to Lee and Muriel (Morton) Minick, in northeast Ohio.

Michael lived a full life in Middlefield, making friends with all who met him. His connections meant the world to him and spending time with friends and family brought him immense joy. He spent his time at home on his CB radio under the name House Mouse and was adored by many.

Always one to bring a smile to the faces of others, he volunteered often and worked many jobs. Mike enjoyed traveling to Florida to see family, frequenting casinos, and keeping his lawn perfectly cut with his tractor mower. He always enjoyed visits and kept his door open to anyone that wanted to come say hello. He kept an extensive music collection, and always had a Cleveland sports game playing on the television. A jokester by nature, he made sure to make all around him laugh, teaching his nieces and great nephews how to be ornery any chance he got. He especially loved spending time with his brother and best friend, Eddie.

Michael is proceeded in death by his parents Lee and Muriel, his brother, whom he adored, Edward, his wife Mildred, and other family members who passed too soon.

Michael is survived and dearly missed by his nieces Leeah Fisher, Halee (Dylan) VanderMaas, Kylee Minick, great nephews and niece Landon Fisher, Gage Fisher, Holden Fisher, Reicher VanderMaas, Weston VanderMaas, Eva VanderMaas, life-long friend John Fisher, life partner Donna Anzalone, and caretaker and friend Cindy Cichon.

A private family service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Michael's name to The Metzenbaum Foundation.
