Melissa "Issa" Nichole (Brown) Gresch

Melissa “Issa” Nichole Gresch, 40 of Warren, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, August 19, 2020 at University Hospital in Cleveland. She was born on April 17, 1980 in Chardon to David “Ricky” Brown and Jacqueline (Ditto)Perkins. Melissa was a graduate of Cardinal High School. She worked as an ER Technician at UH Geauga Medical Center and Rural Metro 10 years. She married James E Gresch on May 27, 2000.  Melissa was a “straight shooter” and had light blue eyes that can see through your heart. You would smile when you heard her laugh a mile away. Her catch phrase was “hey Mama”. She went to every sporting event of her children, and always had a Coca-Cola with her. She will truly be missed by her family and friends.

Melissa is survived by her husband James of 20 years; two sons, Hunter and Lucas, her daughter Hannah, her mom Jacqueline Perkins, step mom Anita Lynn Brown, father-in-law and mother-in-law Brian and Jane Gresch, six sisters, Jamie (Michael) Morse, Rachel (Brandon) Blystone, Sondra (Kevin) Sipes, Haley (Andrew) Damon, Faith Brown, and Olivia Brown; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and beloved family and friends. She was preceded in death by her father David Brown.

Calling hours will be held 2:00-6:00 PM Sunday, August 23, 2020 at Sly Family Funeral Home, 15670 West High St., Middlefield, Ohio. A Celebration of Life will be held 11:00 AM Monday, August 24th at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Mesopotamia.
