Martin "Marty" Dressig

Martin “Marty” Dressig 73 of Newbury, formerly of Mentor, passed away Sunday, April 6, 2025, at the hospital surrounded by his family.  He was born November 7, 1951 in Cleveland. He graduated from Mentor High School in 1970.  Marty proudly served in the Marine Corps.  He was a member of the Hi Rise Ski Club. Marty enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening, and always had a project he was working on. Whatever the circumstances, he made himself available to help others.  Marty loved being involved in the many interests and activities of his grandchildren.

He will be sadly missed by his loving wife, Janet, his stepchildren, Lisa (Scott) Simms of Parkman and Rocky (Shani) Artino of Macedonia, his precious grandchildren, Kyle, Analeise, Ty, Olivia, and grandson, Cody who preceded him in death.  He was also preceded by his parents, Richard and Debbie, brothers, Dirk and Keith, stepfather, Clayton Harrell, and first wife, Haven. 

Calling hours will be held from 3:00 – 7:00 PM Sunday, April 13, 2025, at the Sly Family Funeral Home, 15670 W. High St. Middlefield, OH. 44062.  Funeral Service will be held 11:00 AM Monday April 14, 2025, at the Funeral Home.
