Martha Rebecca (Ramseyer) Wirt-Kreider

Martha Rebecca Wirt-Kreider, age 100, of Wadsworth, Ohio passed away Sunday, August 2, 2020 at Ohman Family Living at Briar in Middlefield. She was born on April 27, 1920 in Smithville, Ohio, daughter of Chauncey and Kathryn (Graber) Ramseyer. She worked for the First National Bank and Trust in Ravenna for years. She was married to her first husband Leonard Wirt on June 27, 1941. They were marred 28 years before he died in 1970. She later married Charles Kreider April 11, 1974. They were married for 27 years before he died in 2001.

Martha was a longtime member of Wadsworth First Christian Church and sang in the choir at the church. She enjoyed knitting, playing cards, board games and traveling. She will be missed by her family and friends.

Martha is survived by her son Bob (Debbie) Wirt of Middlefield, two stepchildren, Jan (Dottie) Kreider of Boulder, CO, and Gerald (Karen) Kreider of Philadelphia, PA, seven grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and her sister Marie Beechy of Wooster. She is preceded in death by her parents, her 1st husband Leonard Wirt, 2nd husband Charles Kreider, her son James “Leonard” Wirt who died in 2012, and her brother Ivan D Ramseyer.

A Graveside Service will be held 1:00 PM on Monday, August 10, 2020 at Maple Grove Cemetery, 6698 N. Chestnut St., Ravenna, OH 44266.
