Martha Jean (Byler) Miller 89 of Mesopotamia was born December 24, 1935, passed away peacefully Friday March 14, 2025. Martha was head cook and cook at Mesopotamia Elementary School. She was known for her famous Illinois Sugar Cookies. She was an avid fan of birds.
Martha is survived by her children, Barbara Ann Miller of West Farmington, Joseph E. Miller of Orwell, Marie E. (David) Miller of Chardon, 9 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, sister, Ida Troyer, and son-in-law, John J. Byler. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eli D. Miller, daughter, Esther Byler, parents, Ervin N. and Emma (Miller) Byler, sisters, Alma Miller, Lydia Mae Miller, brothers, Wallace Byler and Lester Lee Byler and her son-in-law, Jonas J. Miller.
Visitation will be held at Mespo Center (Mespo Expo Center), 4300 Kinsman Rd, Mesopotamia, OH 44439 Monday March 17, 2025, from 1:00 PM – 8:00 PM. Funeral service will be held at Ervin Detwieler residence 8969 S.R 534, Mesopotamia, Ohio 44439, Tuesday March 18, 2025 at 9:30 AM with Bishop David J.S. Miller officiating. Burial will follow the service at Wilcox Cemetery Mesopotamia, Ohio
