Martha A. (Scarbro) Gustafson

Martha A. Gustafson 60 of West Farmington, formerly of Middlefield, passed away Friday September 9, 2022 at UH Geauga Hospital with her family at her side. She was born October 9, 1961, in New Haven, Connecticut to Donald Gene and Luanna (Albright) Scarbro.  She graduated from Sherman High School, and from Southern West VirginiaCommunity College where she was on the Deans list with a 4.0 GPA. Martha grew up in West Virginia be for moving to Ohio, she worked for Kraftmaid for many years in the Design Department. Martha had transplant surgery 10 years ago and when she first woke up from the surgery she said, “God really dose love me”. She enjoyed cooking, listing to country music, camping and spending time with the family and grandkids outdoors.  

She will be sadly missed by her loving husband, James G. Gustafson who she married February 14, 2005, her children, Brian (Jessica White) Adkins, Matthew Adkins, Tiffany Adkins of West Farmington, her mother, Luanna Wagoner of WV, her dear grandchildren, Skylar, Matt, Carley, Preston, Kassidy, Chyeene, Cory, Colleen, Erica, Tara, and Harley. She also leaves be hind her siblings. Sheri Garrett of GA, Deborah (Ralph) Wilson of OH, Rebecca Jewell of WV, Donnie Scarbro of WV, and Tammy Wilson of VA. Martha was preceded in death by her father Donald, and her son Shane Adkins, and brother Dennis Cook.  

A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held Tuesday, September 13, 2022 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Sly Family Funeral Home, 15670 W. High Street, Middlefield, Ohio 44062
