Marjorie L. Dingman, 78, of Burton, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 7, 2023, at the David Simpson Hospice House in Cleveland, Ohio. Marge was born July 5, 1945, to the late Eber and Virginia (Bartholomew) Hyde in Cleveland, Ohio.
Marge graduated from Berkshire High School and attended Kent State University. She married Daniel Dingman December 14, 1968. She was a medical transcriber at St. Luke’s Hospital, UH Geauga Medical Center, and worked for several doctors’ offices during her career.
Marge loved being a mother and grandmother above all else. She always took care of anyone who needed some extra kindness and support, including many cats and dogs from animal shelters over the years. Marge also enjoyed camping and vacationing with family and friends, gardening with 10 green “thumbs,” crocheting, feeding the birds, and doing puzzles. She never missed a school or athletic event for her sons, granddaughters, or as a coach’s wife.
She will be greatly missed by her husband, Daniel, sons John (Wendy) Dingman and Mark (Tammy) Dingman, grandchildren Katie, Alli, Emily and Kayla, siblings David Hyde of Big Rapids, Michigan, Bill (Anne) Hyde of Daniel Island, South Carolina, Elizabeth Siman of Hiram, Ohio, and many nieces and nephews and extended family. Marge was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Robert Hyde.
A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held on Monday, September 25, 2023, from 6:00-8:00 PM at Sly Family Funeral Home. 15670 W. High Street, Middlefield, Ohio. Her final resting place will be at Welton Cemetery in Burton, Ohio.
