Marie Elaine Blazek, age 80 of West Farmington, passed away after a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease on Saturday, September 25, 2021, at her home with her family by her side. She was born in Cleveland, daughter of the late Dominic and Sophia (Fried) Collino. Marie graduated from John Adams High School and went to Fenn College for 3 years. She married James F. Blazek on Sept. 1, 1962, and they lived in West Farmington since 1975. Marie retired after 25 years working at Hills and Ames Dept. store in Champion.
Marie loved keeping busy, she enjoyed sewing, making rag rugs, cooking, crossword puzzles, reading, music, and gardening. She especially loved being with her friends, family, her grandchildren, and her great grandson. Their cherished memories of her will never fade.
She will be missed by her family and friends, her beloved husband James F Blazek of 59 years, her daughter Jennifer (Scott Bitner) Blazek of West Farmington, two grandchildren, Kore (Nick) Rasey of Napoleon, Ohio and Leah Bitner of West Farmington, her great grandson Finn, her half-brother Allen Curtis of Arizona, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Margaret Lyzen.
