Leroy L Troyer

Leroy L. Troyer, 74, born on January 3, 1950, passed away on June 23, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved son of Lester M. Troyer and Elizabeth J. Detweiler and the eighth of twelve children, Ervin (Ada L.) Troyer, Lester L. Jr. (Emma) Troyer, Dan L. (Ada Mae) Troyer, Fannie L. (John J) Byler, Ada (James Harley) Jones, Jake L. (Fannie) Troyer, Mose L. (Edna E.) Troyer, William L. (Sarah Ann) Troyer, Mary Ellen L. (Marvin E.) Troyer. 

Leroy shared a beautiful life with his wife, Barbara, and together they raised four wonderful children: Rhoda (John) Shank, Steven (Tiffany) Troyer, and Leanne (Gabriel) Walters, and Kristine Troyer. Leroy was a proud grandfather to ten grandchildren, Justin, Austin, Prestin, Alena, Christian, Noah, Nora, Harper, Aubrey and Evan. 

He dedicated 50 years of his life working as a tree trimmer. Outside of work, Leroy had a passion for fishing and hunting, particularly coon and deer. He enjoyed mowing the lawn, riding his 4-wheeler, camping and traveling with his wife Barbara and most importantly, spending quality time with his family and friends. Beside his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Barbara, and brother Albert and sister Lizzie Ann Troyer. 

Family and friends are invited to calling hours on Thursday June 27, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Sly Family Funeral Home, 15670 W. High Street, Middlefield, Ohio.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 28, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Horizons Christian Assembly, 14920 White Road, Middlefield, Ohio, with Pastor Justin Boyles officiating.  Burial will follow immediately at Windsor Cemetery, Windsor, Ohio.

Leroy will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
