On Sunday, June 27th, 2021, we will be holding a Celebration of Life for Leo from 3:00 – 6:00 at the Serenity Winery Events Venue, 16995 Chardon-Windsor Road, Huntsburg, Ohio 44046.
This will be a casual event with food, beverages, and many memories. Wear your favorite golf shirt. Hopefully you will be able to attend. Thank you! 
 
 
Leo M. Caito of Munson, OH passed away unexpectedly into the arms of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at UH Geauga in Chardon.  He was 79. Leo was born on February 25, 1941 in Cleveland, Ohio to Leo and Clara Caito.  He grew up in South Euclid and Gates Mills, graduating from Cathedral Latin in 1959.  Leo was a pivotal part of the Cathedral Latin football team which won the City Championship in 1958.  He was inducted into the Cathedral Latin Athletic Hall of Fame in 1974 and again in 2020 when the entire Cathedral Latin 1958 Football team was inducted. 
Leo graduated from the University of Nebraska in 1965 where he was a member of the “UGLIES”.  He went into the insurance business with New England Life in 1966.  He started his own agency, Caito Insurance Group, in 1988 with his sons Lee and Tony. 
Leo loved playing golf and was in traveling leagues for several years.  He loved going on golfing trips to Myrtle Beach.   Leo was an avid fan of the Cleveland Browns and especially the Cleveland Indians.  Leo had a passion for cooking, and he made his famous Spaghetti Sauce for many family gatherings.   
Leo married Linda (Peairs) on June 24, 1994.  She worked together with Leo at Caito Insurance Group.  He taught her to play golf and they took in many rescue dogs from the Geauga County Dog Shelter, especially Beagles.
Leo was preceded in death by his parents Leo Sr. and Clara (Vondrake) Caito and by his brother Thomas Caito.
Left to cherish his memory are: his beloved wife Linda; sons Lee Caito of Madison, OH; Tony (Katie) of Mentor, OH; Curt (Silke) of Tallahasse , FL; step-daughters Kerri (Jake) Brent of Burton, OH; Becky (Brian) Turner of Dundee, OR;  grandchildren: Andrea (Joe) Sieracki of Strongsville, OH; Cassie (Anthony) Hyman of Chardon, OH;  T.J. Caito of Mentor, OH; Gabrielle (Mason Kensinger) of Madison, OH; Cameron Caito of Painesville, OH; Megan (Cameron) Furuseth, Jace Caito and Molly Caito all of Tallahassee, Florida; step-grandchildren Anna, Paul, and Oliver Brent of Burton, OH; great-grandchildren: Quinn and Reese Sieracki; and Hudson Hyman;  Mother-in-Law Irene Peairs of Newbury OH; Brother-in-Laws: Thomas Peairs of Washington, VT; Ronald (Marsha) Peairs of Munson, OH; Richard Peairs of Burton, OH; Sister-in-Laws: Barbara (Chet) Rusinek of Summersville, SC; Kathy (Ron) Schwartz of Montville, OH; Sandy (Pete) Ogint of Matthews, NC; Bonnie (Larry) Bollinger of Lilburn, GA; Dee Caito, Kim Caito and many nieces and nephews and friends.  Leo will also be missed by his beloved “four foots” Reba, Jackson, Missy, Cutie and all his kitty cats.
 
A memorial Mass was held at St. Helen’s Catholic Church in Newbury, on Thursday January 7th, 2021 at 11:00.  It was live streamed on the St Helen’s website.
