Keith Avery Ayres, age 63, of Huntsburg Ohio, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, May 9, 2026.
Born in Kirtland on June 10, 1962, to David Ayres and the late Barbara (Behnke) Ayres, Keith was a proud graduate of Kirtland High School and furthered his education at ETI and Lakeland Community College. He dedicated his career to sales management with Avery Sales & Marketing.
Keith enjoyed spending time with family and friends on the patio, golfing, FaceTiming with his children and grandchildren, watching the Browns (and waiting for next year), playing cards, going to the casino, attending concerts, relaxing at the beach, garage sale-ing, refurbishing stereo equipment and speakers, and was a self-proclaimed onion ring connoisseur.
Keith was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, and brother, whose greatest joy came from his family. On June 29, 1985, he married the love of his life, Donna C. (Wicks) Ayres, with whom he shared many wonderful years.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Donna Ayres; daughter, Samantha (Edward) Hobaica; son, David (Emily) Ayres II, grandchildren, Natalie Mae, Hallie Noelle, Ava, Grant, and Ana; his father, David Allen Ayres; brother, Todd Ayres; and grand-dogs, Piper, Murphy and Willow.
Keith was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara (Behnke) Ayres. Family and friends will cherish memories of his kindness, dedication to family, and hardworking spirit.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 13, 2026, from 5:00 – 7:00 PM and Thursday May 14, 2026 from 9:00-10:00 AM at Sly Family Funeral Home, 15670 W. High St, Middlefield, OH 44062. Internment will follow at Western Reserve Memorial Gardens, Chesterland, Ohio
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Keith's honor to the Kathy and Les Coleman Clinical Trials Center at UH Seidman Cancer Center.
