Kathleen M. Frania, age 72, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, September 5, 2025.
Born on March 20, 1953, in Burton, Ohio, Kathleen was the daughter of John F. Carr and Lily M. Miller. She graduated from Beaumont High School in 1971 and went on to study at Mt. St. Joseph and Sawyer Business School.
Kathleen married the love of her life, Gregory C. Frania at St. Mary in Chardon, Ohio November 23, 1985, and together they raised two children. She worked as a dental assistant and secretary in various offices throughout the area. Kathleen had a deep love of reading and spending time at the beach in Sarasota, Florida. She was a devoted “prayer warrior” and earned the nickname “The Card Lady” for faithfully sending cards for birthdays, get-well wishes, and encouragement to anyone in need.
A woman of deep faith and compassion, Kathleen was a proud member of the Geauga Chapter of the Christ Child Society. Those who knew her described her as having a truly caring heart. She also deeply loved her little dog, Gus.
She will be greatly missed by her beloved husband, Gregory; her daughter, Susan C. Frania; her son, Nathaniel G. (Michele K.) Frania; her sister, Debra J. (James R.) Kebe; her grandchildren, Joseph, Lucas, and Adeline; her niece, Sarah L. (Matthew) Selegue; and great-nieces, Lydia and Heidi.
