On Friday, July 23, 2021, Karen “Nanny” Marie Brown passed away and went to be with the Lord at Regency Hospital. She was born November 6, 1946, in Cleveland, Ohio and graduated from Newbury High School. She lived most of her life in Newbury, Ohio but for the past years she lived in Middlefield, Ohio.

She was proceeded in death by the love of her life and Husband Clyde Brown; her two sons Thomas Brown and David Brown; as well as her parents Edward and Shirlene Leblanc.

She had 5 grandchildren: Chandra Helton, Alexandria Mast, (David Mast), Braydon Brown, Holli Smith (David Freeman), and Riley Smith (Jacob Orr). She also has many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Karen also had 9 great-grandchildren. Harper, Sullivan, Kasynn, Denver, Carter, Sophia, Jackson, Riya, and Aurora. She loved and cared for them all deeply.

In her free time Karen enjoyed spending time with her family and her friends, especially her great grandbabies. One of her favorite hobbies included meeting everyday with her best lady friends and playing cards.  She loved reading, watching all the Lifetime movies, and her favorite Soap Operas. She also enjoyed traveling to Florida whenever she could, to visit her son Bill.

She was always known for her willingness to help others. Whether it was babysitting her great-grand kids, taking friends to and from doctors’ appointments, helping clean their houses, being a devoted friend, and a loving and caring Nanny.
