SERVICE UPDATE
Karen Alyce Holschuh 72, of Burton passed away Tuesday January 4, 2022, at UH Geauga Medical Center. She was born August 22, 1949, in Cleveland to the late Winfield John and Doris Mae (Phillips) Kelley. She graduated from Newbury High School in 1967. Karen was the Lunch Lady for Berkshire School District for many years. She was a member of New Mercies Community Church, she started the Now That’s what I am Talking about summer lunch program in Claridon, collected donation for the Geauga County Veteran Food Pantry. She never met a stranger and would never stop talking. She appreciated our local Law Enforcement so much she would chase down a police officer or Sheriff just to give them a sandwich or a treat.
She will be sadly missed by her children, Larry Jr, (Katie) Holschuh of Parma, John (Kelly Robin) Holschuh of Port St. Lucie, FL, Melissa (Ross) Noble of Virginia Beach, VA., Nicole (Thomas) Bullock of Vermilion, OH., grandchildren, John Jr. (Amanda), Brendan, Kayli, Alyce, Zoe, great grandchildren, John III, Nathan, brother, Joe (Diane) Kelley, sister, Susan (Mark) Finney, sister-in-law, Susan Holschuh, and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Larry F. Holschuh who passed away April 17, 2014, brothers, John II, Mike, Tom, and Tim Kelley.
A Private Graveside Service will take place at Crown Hill Cemetery in Twinsburg, Ohio.
A Celebration of her Life will be held at New Mercies Community Church, 12767 Butternut Rd, Burton, OH 44021, 12:00 PM Saturday January 15, 2022, with visitation from 11:00 AM until her service.
Memorial Donations can be made in her name to Geauga County Veteran Food Pantry, 13211 Aquilla Rd., Suite B, Chardon, Ohio 44024.
