Joseph P. Conroy Jr. “Joe” passed away peacefully at his home, Friday, August 27, 2021. He was born January 21, 1949, in Cleveland, Ohio, to the late Joseph Conroy Sr. and Rose (Adams) Conroy. He met his devoted wife, Barbara (Prochaska) and married her on June 19, 1971, and recently celebrated fifty years of marriage. Joe was a born salesman and enjoyed working the auctions and flea markets in Middlefield, Bloomfield, Andover, and Painesville. He often brought his sons in their younger years and more recently loved having his grandchildren join him at the auctions and sales. Joe was truly the “Flea market guy”, and he took that as a compliment. He was a hilarious man with a wonderful sense of humor and was energetic and full of life. He enjoyed the weekly $6.00 he allotted himself for scratch-off lottery tickets, scouring the golf course for stray golf balls, and was a very fun-loving man. Joe was a dedicated husband, great father, amazing grandfather, mentor, storyteller, friend, and most of all; he was there for us when we needed him.
Joe will be sadly missed by his loving wife Barbara, his sons Mike (girlfriend Heather O’Malley), Joseph (spouse Heather), Patrick (spouse Amy), Richard, grandchildren Dominic, Jacob, Gabriella, Amelia, Joey, Bradley Jo, brother Marty, sister Cathy Babareka, several nieces and nephews, and a handful of great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
