Obituary
John S. Hollo, Jr. of Burton, OH passed away peacefully at his home Tuesday, February 21, 2023. John was born March 31, 1958, in Chardon to the late John S. and Anna M. (Luoma) Hollo, Sr. He graduated from Berkshire High School in 1976. John worked for Burton Rubber for many years.
He was passionate with cooking and spending time with family and friends at bonfires. He loved playing pool, listening to classic Rock n’ Roll, playing fetch with Skip, sneaking goodies to Gracie, mowing the grass and soaking up the sun.
John would often say, “I get to go to work today. I don’t have to. It’s my choice.” Also, “I love you more!”
He will be sadly missed by his daughter Swedell (Charles) Simmons of Ravenna, son John S. “Buddy” (Doris) Hollo III of Burton; along with three grandchildren: Charles, Carson, John IV and one grandson on the way. In addition, he is also survived by his sisters Bonnie (Bobby) Larson of South Carolina and Lori Hollo of Tallmadge; along with his seven nieces and nephews: Chad, Jason, Kyle, Sonya, Derek, Charles and Brianna. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Teresa J. Dallas.
No service will be held at this time. A memorial gathering will be planned for a later date.
