Jean Harlow Brown 87 of Champion, formerly of Mesopotamia, passed away Saturday February 19, 2022, at Ohio Living Lake Vista in Cortland. She was born March 23, 1934, in Stone, KY to the late Obie Diah and Evelyn (Moore) Stanley. She attended the Believers Church in Warren. Jean enjoyed sleuth puzzles, playing canasta, cooking, but mostly loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.
She will be sadly missed by her daughters, Vicky (Frank) Farmer of Champion, Debbie (David) Shilling of Champion, with whom she made her home, Herb (Donna) Brown of Mesopotamia, daughter in law, Lynn Brown of Middlefield, 15 grandchildren Danny, Leslie (Dennis), Holly (AJ), Josh (Melanie), Jamie (Mike), Rachel (Brandon), Sondra (Kevin), Haley, Faith, Olivia, Tabitha (Mike), Adam (Kelly), T.J., Nick, Jessica. Jean had 23 great- grandchildren, Damien, Samantha, Marena, Auburne, Logan, Gabby, Lauren, Hannah, Hunter, Luke, Zoey, Bryce, Landon, Wyatt, Karson, Jack, Mackenzie, Alexis, Ellie, Kaleb, Kaden, Jordyn, Morgan, and a great great granddaughter, Peyton. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Thomas “Gene” Brown, son, David “Ricky” Brown, granddaughter, Melissa, sister, Edith Gilmore, brothers, Ralph, Joseph, and Doy Stanley.
Calling hours will be held Thursday February 24, 2022, from 5:00 – 8:00PM at Sly Family Funeral Home, 15670 W. High Street, Middlefield, Ohio 44062. A Celebration of her Life will be held at 12:00 PM Friday, February 25, 2022, at the Funeral Home with Pastor Bill Carter officiating. Burial will follow the service at Fairview Cemetery, Mesopotamia, Ohio.
