Janelle Ruth McClead 95 of Middlefield passed away Saturday January 22, 2022 at UH Geauga Medical Center. She was born January 14, 1927 in Middlefield to the late Pearl and Anna (Sperry) Brown. She graduated from Middlefield High School in 1944 and Huron Road Hospital Nursing School in 1948. She became an RN and worked at Trumbull Memorial Hospital in Warren, Ohio until she retired. Only a short while after retirement she then spent much time working at the Middlefield Birthing Center until she was more than 80 years old. She married the love of her life Donald McClead in 1950. They purchased their first home in Warren, Ohio and eventually built their retirement log cabin in Middlefield, Ohio in 1972. They were members of the First United Methodist Church in Middlefield, and the Middlefield Historical Society. Janelle was a member of the Ohio Nursing Association, was a work acholic, always reaching out to help anyone and offering her nursing instinct to anyone in need her whole life. She loved to collect dolls, going to doll shows, and would never miss stopping at an antique store, consignment shop, or shopping mall.
She will be sadly missed by her children, Ronald (Mary Ann) McClead, Deborah (Jim) Sitko, Rebekah (Dale) Holzheimer, and Todd (Connie) McClead, 11 grandchildren, and many great grandchildren.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Donald November 17, 2021, 3 grandchildren, Tina Marie Ziegler, Rene Troyer, Shaun McClead, a brother, Donald Brown, and her sister Josephine Blackford.
A Graveside Service will be held 1:00 PM Friday, January 28, 2022 in Middlefield Cemetery with Pastor Erv Urschitz.
