Jane C. Eaton, of Middlefield, passed away peacefully on April 24, 2025, at the age of 88. Born in Cambridge, Ohio, on January 26, 1937, she was the daughter of Richard and Esther (Stritmatter) Caslow.
Jane graduated from Middlefield High School in 1954 and went on to earn her degree from Kent State University. On January 26, 1957, she married Gordon Eaton, and together they built a life centered around friends, family, and community.

Outside of work, Jane enjoyed swimming, reading, and the excitement of horse racing. She loved spending winters in North Fort Myers, FL, and many summer days along the lakeshore in Huron, OH. Her passion for community service led her to become a trustee for the Geauga Community Mental Health Center for 10 years.
Jane will be profoundly missed by her children, Ellen Mingus, Tom Eaton, and Paul (Karla) Eaton; her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her brother, Richard (Peggy) Caslow; and many extended family members.
