James V. “SR” Barlow Sr., 74, of Chardon went to join the love of his life, Janet L. Barlow who passed May 11, 2021, on Monday, May 24, 2021 at UH Geauga Medical Center. He was born November 10, 1946 in Meadville, PA to the late Gerald and Lillian Barlow. James served in the US Army as a Sergeant serving two tours in Vietnam. He worked for Structural Fibers in Chardon for 18 years where he retired and then managed Downing Manor Apartments for 18 years. James enjoyed fishing, going to car shows, and was a “Jack of All Trades” but as his wife would say a “Jack of all Trades but a Master of None”.
He will be sadly missed by his loving children, Dave (Kelly) Springer, Crystal (Joe) Vehouc, Tammy Springer, Tedd (Cynthia) Springer, Cindy (Edward) Morrison, James Barlow Jr., Jamie (Rick Potter) Barlow, sisters, Gail Porras, Linda Pressler, and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and friends. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, Mike Barlow, Gary Barlow, Joe Barlow, and John Barlow.
Calling hours will be held from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 PM Wednesday, June 2, 2021 and Thursday June 3, 2021 from 12:00 PM until the time of his Funeral Service at 1:00 PM, both will be held at the Sly Family Funeral Home, 15670 W. High Street, Middlefield, Ohio 44062.
