James Whitten Mullins, born on September 6, 1933, in Wilcoe, West Virginia, passed away on July 17, 2024, at the age of 90. He was a resident of Madison, Ohio, having moved there from Newbury, Ohio.
James was the beloved son of Mastin and Myrtle Mae (Rose) Mullins. In 1975, he married Norma Jean (Veselsky), with whom he shared 49 wonderful years.
He was a devoted father to his daughters, Beverly Harbour, Karen Prince, as well as his stepsons Kenneth and David Mullins Sr. James is also survived by his sister Nancy Rivera. He leaves behind numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
James had a fulfilling career at LTV Steel Company, where he worked diligently until his retirement in 1982. He also proudly served his country as a member of the US Army.
In his leisure time, James enjoyed gardening, fishing, coon hunting, and attending Blue Grass, Gospel and Country music concerts. His love for these activities brought joy to both him and his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his son James, stepson Lee Jr., daughters Frances Vrooman, Janet Tucker and Sandra Henderson and 9 siblings.
A private graveside service will be held at Munn Road Cemetery in Newbury, Ohio, where James will be laid to rest.
