James Allen Moss

James Allen Moss 62 of Burton passed away Wednesday May 6, 2020 at University Hopsitals in Cleveland. He was born May 27, 1957 in Chardon and grew up in Claridon Township.

James graduated from Berkshire High School in 1975. He then attended Pittsburgh Institute of Aeronautics to obtain his Associates Degree and pursue his passion of working on airplanes.

He began his career in out west to work at Boeing for several years. He then returned home to Ohio after he missed his family.

Jim then married Susan (Mikita) on September 18, 1993, they were married for 26 years.

He enjoyed taking bike rides, going on walks with his dogs and fishing. He also enjoyed doing projects around the house which included working in the yard and fixing his cars. He loved to attend air shows and going to Cedar Point with his family. He was very proud of his daughters and all of their accomplishments.

Survivors are his wife Susan (Mikita) Moss; daughters, Angela Moss and Alison Moss; brothers, William (Kate) Moss and Don (Barbara) Moss; sisters, Marilyn (Dan) Thayer andJudy (Dave) Zwolinski and multiple nieces, nephews, and many great nieces and nephews.  

He is preceded in death by his parents Donald W. Moss and Margaret (Corron) Moss-Hill, stepfather Harry Hill and his sister Linda (Dave) Dingman.

A Celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
