James Eugene Loftus 49 of Chardon passed away Thursday August 10, 2023, at Toledo Hospital. He was born September 19, 1973, in Euclid to Hershel L. and Fran (Crowley) Loftus. He graduated from Berkshire High School in 1991. James worked as a truck driver and carpenter for many years. He was a member of the Faith Baptist Church in Burton, Ohio, and a member of the Just Add Water scuba diving Club. He enjoyed bowling, kayaking, and flying model helicopters.
He will be sadly missed by his daughters, Becca Loftus, Rachel Loftus, son, Dustin Carter, his mother Fran Loftus, grandchildren, Khloe, Owen, Kali, sister, Linda (Dan) O’Connor, brother, Hershel Loftus II., a niece and a nephew, and his fur baby, Brownie. He is preceded in death by his father, Hershel Loftus Sr.
A Celebration of His Life will be held on September 15, 2024, from 11:00 AM-6:00PM at Headwaters Park Boathouse. 13365 Old State Road. Huntsburg, Ohio 44046
