James W. Evans, 71, of Champion, Ohio, formerly of Mesopotamia, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 31, 2026.
James was born on December 28, 1954, in Warren, Ohio, to Elwood “Elly” and Marie (Gordon) Evans. He was a graduate of Bloomfield High School. James dedicated 29 years of his career to Mercury Plastics and also worked at Ace Hardware.
Throughout his life, he lived in Mesopotamia, Ohio; Zephyrhills, Florida; and most recently, Champion, Ohio. He was a member of Bristolville Community Church.
James will be deeply missed by his sister, Diana (Daryl) Zadunajsky, along with his nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Sandra Williams.
Per James request, cremation has taken place and the family will have a private graveside service at Overlook Cemetery in Parkman, Ohio.
