Jake W. Byler

Jake W. Byler, 93, of Mesopotamia, formerly of Burton, passed away Friday November 17, 2023, at Ohman Family Living at Briar. He was born June 1, 1930, in Middlefield to the late William and Malinda Byler.  Jake was a member of the Old Order Amish Church. He served his country in the 1 W Service at Deaconess Hospital in Cleveland.

Jake will be sadly missed by his children, Jacob (Nancy) Byler, Rachel (Ivan) Nissley, John (Priscilla) Byler, Regina Byler, bother, Bill (Esther) Byler, 21 grandchildren and 42 great grandchildren. Beside his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Bertha M. (Miller) Byler, 2 brothers, Dan Byler, Ervin Byler, 2 sisters, Katie Miller, Mattie Fisher. 1 grandchild and 2 great grandchildren.  

Visitation will be held at 14170 Hubbard Road, Burton, Ohio 44021 from now until his service which will be held 9:00 AM Monday November 20, 2023, at 14253 Hubbard Road, Burton, Ohio 44021. Biship Roman Troyer Jr. will be officiating. He will be laid to rest in Yoder Cemetery, Parkman, Ohio following the service.
