Jacqueline Ann Rooks Sprague, 94, went home to be with the Lord on December 29, 2020 at Briar Cliff in Middlefield Ohio. Born August 1, 1926, she was a lifelong resident of North Bloomfield, Ohio. She was the daughter of the late William and Mary Eakin Rooks, and was a graduate of Bloomfield High School in 1944.
Jackie married C. Arthur Sprague on June 27, 1946 with whom she had three children – Rodney C. (Anne) of Bristolville, Rita J. Hart of Howland, and Renee` J. Persin of Vienna.
She was employed by Johnson Rubber Company in Middlefield for 33 years. She was also the Bloomfield Township clerk for 20 years.
Jackie was a member of the North Bloomfield United Methodist Church and member of the Daughters of Rebekah Lodge in Mesopotamia until it disbanded. She also enjoyed bowling on a league for many years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 29 years, her sister Lavina Barbour, her brothers, William “Bill” Rooks and Russell “Russ” Rooks, grandson Shannon Lee Gwinn and great grandson Jack Elliott Hart.
Jackie is survived by her children, seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and six great-great grandchildren.
Per Jackie’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A private graveside service will be held at the Brownwood Cemetery in North Bloomfield, for the immediate family.
