Jack E. Day of Chardon, Ohio passed away February 19, 2024, at Geauga Hospital. He was 68 years old. He was born January 3, 1956, in Cleveland, Ohio. He has been battling health issues for the last 3 years. Jack drove semi-truck almost all his life. He loved riding his Harley Davison motorcycle, working on lawnmowers, helping family and friends. In his younger years he would camp and fish.
He will be truly missed by his family and friends. He leaves behind his 2 daughters, Tracy (Day) Ross of Rome, Ohio, and Shannon (Day) Nelson of Maryland. His sister, Doretta (Dodie Day) Frantz of Rock Creek, Ohio, A lot of uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces. His grandchildren, John Shaffer of Perry, Ohio, Jessica Shaffer of Rome, Ohio, Rebecca Shaffer of Newbury, Ohio, Bryan Shaffer of Newbury, Ohio Jacquelyn Nelson of Maryland, Vanessa Nelson of Maryland, Rachel Nelson of Maryland, Jerry Nelson of Maryland, niece, Tina Coe of Chardon, Ohio, Jane Grover of Chardon, Ohio, Jewel (Grover) Freeman of Florida, nephew, Thomas Grover of Mentor. Most of all his Chihuahua, “Carol”. They were buddies. He was preceded in death by his parents, jack and Betty Day, son Jack A. Day II, brother-in-law, Mike “Mutt” Frantz, and his niece, Haley Rodenburg.
No Funeral Servies will be held at this time.
