Hazel Marie Cover, 92 of Geneva, formerly of Richmond Heights and Middlefield passed away Sunday, March 27, 2022, at The Sanctuary of Geneva. She was born on October 19, 1929 in Parkman to the late Roger and Flora (Hurd) Hoxter. She graduated from Parkman High School and from Ohio Northern University in 1951. She married the love of her life, Herbert “Herb” Cover October of 1955. Hazel was a member of the Tau Kappa Kappa sorority in her collelge days. She was a former member of the Highland Sixth Presbyterian Church, the Parkman Congregational Church, and the Women’s Committee of the Cleveland Orchestra. She worked as court reporter for Morse, Gantverg and Hodge for 20 years. She was musically talented and sang in choirs. She was also involved in theater groups. She was an avid Cleveland sports fan. She enjoyed playing Scrabble and tending her flower garden.
She will be sadly missed by her loving daughters, Carol (Robin Steinbeck) Cover of Madison, Susan (Louise Harwood) Cover of Augusta, ME. son, Charles Cover of San Pedro, CA, and granddaughters, Olivia and Julia. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Herbert who died June 13, 2015, brother Ronald Hoxter, and an infant brother Blair Hoxter.
A private graveside service will be in Overlook Cemetery in Parkman.
