Geraldine "Gerri" Inez (Taylor) Payne

Geraldine “Gerri” Inez (Taylor) Payne left this world to be with our Lord on Wednesday, June 30, 2021. Her parents, Inez (Harmon) and Glenn Taylor, preceded her in death.

In June of 1954, she married James Payne. They just celebrated 67 years of marriage. Gerri was a devoted wife and mother.

She is survived by her husband James, four children, Robert (Beverly) Payne of Tionesta, PA, G. Edward (Patty) Payne of Rome, OH, Denise (Wayne) West of Southington, and Roberta (Gary) Ziobert of Kinsman. She is also survived by her daughter-in-law Deborah Payne of Shinglehouse, PA. Her infant son Michael and her son Allen will greet her in Heaven. Gerri is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren. Her brother G. Donald Taylor with numerous (great) nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her sister Donna.

Gerri lived a full and blessed life. Whether it be visiting the camp in Pennsylvania, baking in her kitchen, or spending time with her family. There is so much we could say about our beloved grandmother, but there is not enough paper to talk about her wonderful 85 years on this earth.

A special “thank you” to granddaughter Dana West. Dana was Gerri’s care giver for the last 7 years, and they had an unbreakable bond.

The family would also like to thank Crossroads Hospice for the attention and care they gave Gerri towards the end.

A Memorial Service will be held on a later date in Pennsylvania.
