Obituary

GEORGE JOHN WALSH, 86, of West Farmington, Ohio departed this earth to his heavenly home on Tuesday, January 26, 2021, at his home in Corpus Christi, TX. He was born June 20, 1934 in Cleveland to George Julyan and Alice (Belz) Walsh. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife of 61 years, Helen Whelan Walsh.

George was a United States Navy Veteran, serving in the Korean War, a retired pastor, Area Director of the 700 Club, a dairy farmer, and the pastor emeritus of Fowler Community Church. He enjoyed wintering in Texas, fishing, and was an avid Browns fan.

He will be sadly missed by his ten children, Peggy (Don) Covey of Mesopotamia, OH, Brigid (Joe T.) Cook of Corpus Christi, TX, Patrick (Carol B.) Walsh of Leesburg, VA, Hugh (Christal) Walsh of Cuyahoga Falls, OH, Kelley (Greg) Walsh-Clarett of Cleveland, OH, George M. Walsh of West Farmington, OH, Daniel (Donna) Walsh of Birmingham, AL, John Walsh of West Farmington, OH, Martha (Tim) Rabbitts of Mesopotamia, OH, and Joseph (Christina) Walsh of Middlefield, OH, and his sister Alice (Brian) Worsdall of Lyndhurst, OH, 24 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandson and another great grandson on the way (Baby George), as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family, church family and friends.

 A Memorial Service will be held at a later date at the Fowler Community Church in Fowler, OH.
